Hit the road along the Arnhem Highway to the Mary River for an exciting safari cruise on the wetlands. Your expert guide knows exactly where to spot the resident crocs and birdlife as he navigates a custommade boat through the rich waters and lily pads. Continue on to Kakadu National Park, stopping for lunch along the way. Visit Bowali Visitor Centre to view a series of informative displays on the National Park’s flora and fauna before you travel to Ubirr to discover ancient Aboriginal rock art. Your Driver Guide will interpret the meaning of the x-ray style paintings as you walk through the open air galleries. Ubirr’s natural rock shelters contain art that depicts creation ancestors and animals found around the surrounding floodplain such as Barramundi, goannas and long-necked turtles. Climb to Nadab lookout for spectacular views over the floodplain and escarpment country. Settle-in for the night and make sure your camera batteries are charged for tomorrow’s adventure.
